Paciências de Braga are miniature round biscuits served among the city's traditional dry sweets for tea. A simple sugar, egg and flour batter is dropped into tiny discs and baked until dry, light and delicately toasted.
They are eaten one by one or by the handful. Their firm texture softens in the mouth, with a clean flavour of pale caramel, egg and sometimes lemon or orange fragrance.
