Cavacas do Marco are light pale cakes sold in two sizes, large and small. The dough recorded by DGADR uses eggs, flour, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder, which give it volume and a dry airy structure.

Their surface is marked by curved ridges and a fine white finish that emphasises the relief. They are sold by weight throughout the year in Marco de Canaveses.
